Riddell relinquishes the chip, Rinna makes history again

Champion Chip hangover? I think so! The JonBenéy Ramsy Open Memorial Championchip was restored and given to its rightful owner this afternoon, directly ahead of JBROMCC5. An obviously excited Riddell posed for photographs with his Chip. "Better late than never" he said, in what may go down as the quote of the year.  But shortly after the ceremony and parade, it was back to business, and Riddell was not up to the task. This most recent edition of the JonBenéy Ramsy Open Memorial was played at Lake Erie Metropark Golf Course in Brownstown Michigan, and similar to JBROMCC3 at Willow Metropark, it was Aaron Rinna's day. Riddell had the following to offer after relegation: "Naturally I will always be at a disadvantage at the T Rinna Signature Real Estate but I congratulate the current winner and look forward to returning the chip where it rightfully belongs." Honest and thoughtful words from the former champ. Very gracious in defeat. However, upon finding out that th...

Determined Riddell brings chip back home

Nothing like a little home cooking, eh? After a brief hiatus, the quest for the chip made its way to David Riddell's home town today. And there was nothing stopping him from bringing it back into his possession(eventually-more on that below).  Played at Pineview Golf Course in historic Ypsilanti Michigan, Riddell carried the hopes of his hometown fans to glory. But it wasn't without a little late round drama. Up three strokes on Riddell going into hole 18, top contestant David Willard undoubtedly felt the presence of the rowdy hometown fans. Struggling to concentrate over the fans' raucous cheering, Willard 4-putted for a quad bogey, giving him a tie with Riddell to end regulation! After a four round tiebreaking putt-off from the dirt, Riddell finally clinched victory, much to the fans' delight. "O Ver Ra Ted!!!!" the fans chanted as Willard missed putt after putt. "Do you guys think 4-putts are funny?" Another asked. At some point a fan started scre...

Rinna Makes History, Brings Home First Chip

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a new champion!  Tough conditions in this most recent edition of the JonBenéy Ramsy Open Memorial but while his opponents perspired, Aaron Rinna persevered. Played at Willow Wetlands Metropark, Aaron battled the humidity and the mosquitos and fended off any late round surges from his opponents(there were none) to secure his first championchip. Congratulations, Aaron! Official scores are listed below: Aaron Rinna: 89 David Riddell: 93 David Bozynski: 94 David Willard: 96

Back! To! Back!

Are we seeing the start of a dynasty??? Just five days after tasting sweet victory in the form of the JonBenéy Ramsy Open Memorial Championchip, David Riddell was forced to defend his crown. And he did not disappoint. Back for more at the gorgeous Carleton Glen golf club in Carleton, Michigan, Riddell and the crew battled to the end, but it was inevitably Riddell's day once again. Enjoying the weather and the best Bloody Marys in the state, Riddell all but secured his title with a birdie on 17, giving him a two shot lead over top contender David Willard. Willard managed to par hole 18, but with a gimme bogey putt on the 18th green Riddell was able to clinch victory. Congratulations once again Mr. Riddell! The final tallies(verified this morning) are listed below. David Riddell: 84 David Willard: 85 Aaron Rinna: 87 David Bozynski: 102
